Mike Lenhart
Founder/President
In December 2006, Mike Lenhart founded The Getting2Tri Foundation (G2T) with the goal of integrating individuals with physical disabilities into their local communities. G2T uses the sports’ disciplines of swimming, cycling, running, racing wheelchair, and hand-cycle as the vehicles for accomplishing this mission.
Mike is a 1990 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point (NY) and earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia State University in Atlanta in 2001. He spent seven years on active duty as an Infantry Officer in the US Army, highlighted by a company command in the historic 82nd Airborne Division.
Mike held several management and sales positions for prominent companies over a period of nearly 12 years since leaving the military. In the fall of 2009, Mike decided to pursue the leadership of his foundation, G2T, in a full-time capacity.
In his role as President of Getting2Tri, Mike leads the foundation’s vision of extending the organization’s reach to a world-wide audience through its annual National Paratriathlete Training Camp, online resources, and the connecting of disabled individuals with skilled resources in their local communities. Mike leads the foundation’s continued planning of a world-class sports institute that will empower individuals with disabilities to make smart decisions about their own health and wellness. |

Jason L. Gunter
In-house Counsel
On August 15, 1992, Jason Gunter survived a serious boating accident in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The accident claimed his left leg below the knee as well as his right hand. Jason was an accomplished firefighter for the Cape Coral Fire Department at the time of his accident, receiving the 1993 Firefighter of the Year award for the State of Florida.
As a result of the injuries he sustained in the accident, Jason forced himself to contemplate an entirely new set of personal and professional goals. Jason’s determination and focus aided him in graduating with honors from law school and propelled him into a career as a successful trial attorney.
Jason graduated in 1997 from NOVA Southeaster Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a class rank of 4 out of 243. Jason opened, the Law Office of Jason L. Gunter, P.A.., in Southwest Florida 11 years ago and continues to practice today.
In 2009, Jason began seriously focusing on the sport of triathlon. Jason has competed as a paratriathlete in the sprint, Olympic and half Ironman triathlon levels, including Ironman 70.3 in Florida, and trains in Southwest Florida with Team Geared Up. He recently participated as a paratriathlete in the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. After coming up short of the finish line in his first attempt in Kona, Jason looks forward to continuing his training and achieving his dream of becoming an Ironman Finisher.

Will Hinshaw
Director of Program Development
Will Hinshaw joined The Getting2Tri Foundation (G2T) as a volunteer for the 2009 National Paratriathlete Training Camp in Atlanta. Witnessing the inspiring results for both the athletes and volunteers, Will wanted to be more involved. Will was asked to be part of the G2T operational team as the Director of Program Development in 2009.
Will is a 1990 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point (NY). During Will’s six years of active duty service, he served as a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot in Korea and the 101st Airborne Division.
Since leaving active duty, Will has served in a variety of leadership roles in consulting firms focused on helping clients define and achieve results. In 2007, he started his own firm, Applied Leadership Solutions. In addition to his professional endeavors, Will rejoined government service in 2005 as a member of the Alabama National Guard’s 20th Special Forces Group.
In his role as Director of Program Development, Will is focused on helping G2T Leadership Team expand its reach. The goal is to reach a large audience of paratriathletes as well as volunteers with programs and services that can be replicated throughout the country and world. Additionally, Will is working with G2T President & Founder Mike Lenhart to plan for the first mobile paratriathlon camps, so G2T can bring its exciting message of hope and accomplishment to those unable to travel to the National Paratriathlete Training Camp in Atlanta every March. |

Dave Armento
Vice President of Finance
Dave Armento began his real estate career with Trammell Crow Company, where he worked from 1986 to 1989. During that time, he became Marketing Principal, and was the highest producing leasing agent in the Southeast Region for the company in 1988.
In 1991, Dave formed New Dominion Real Estate Company, a commercial brokerage firm dedicated to assisting large corporations in the leasing and acquisition of industrial and office properties. During his first year in business, he was ranked among the top five producers in Atlanta for industrial leasing.
In 1994, Dave began building and acquiring properties as a principal. After purchasing a foreclosed hotel from a bank, he co-founded a hotel company called Sun Suites. As CEO, Dave was responsible for all operations as well as marketing. After managing Sun Suites for five years, he retired from the company. Today, Sun Suites operates more than 62 hotels from Texas to Virginia and is the second largest owner/operator of economy extended-stay hotels in the United States.
After retiring from Sun Suites, Dave returned to the commercial real estate industry in 2002. Since that date, he has been a broker and principal in more than $100,000,000 in real estate transactions.
Dave holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State, and an MBA from Wharton Business School. Aside from being on the Board of Directors for The Getting2Tri Foundation (G2T), Dave sits on the board of Saint Joseph’s Hospital Service Corporation.

Tony Gaines
Director of Communications
Tony Gaines is a 1990 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point (NY) and earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Georgia in 1998.
Tony spent six years on active duty as an Infantry officer, including service in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Since leaving the Army, Tony has held various sales and engineering management roles in a Fortune 500 IT company.
As a member of the G2T Leadership Team, Tony’s role is to focus on driving the communication and social media strategy.
